After losing like 90% of my map due to my tool crashing when compiling then my file went "corrupted" when I went to open it. I had to start over again.
What has it's downside, sadly I lost a months work. But on the upside, the whole park/swamp has had a revamp, It has more of a "run-downed" look, along with mist.
And also creepy sky. Most of the park is actually flooded, and you gotta watch where you walk, because you might fall into deep water, here's just a few screenshots of the hut (start) to into
the swamp in the middle of the park.

I would actually like to say Wes that you are really doing a brilliant job at all this. I can tell you have learn't a lot from the other map that you have made. Really love the idea of the flooded swamp.

Thanks, guys! I've learned some more... 'fun' things in this map, what you'll enjoy. Just be careful when you open doors, not just Zombies you got to watch for...

But this is me putting navs together, for a beta test. Where this level is VERY complex, they bug very easy when auto doing them.

slap me for this if you must, but what a navs used for? controlling where zombies can spawn or go?

Well, it's for ANYTHING NPC like, without them, the NPCs dont know where to walk, in Left4Deads case, the Director doesn't know where to spawn them without the navs. The idea is to make a "flow" of navs to the start, to the end of the map
then the Director knows where to spawn Zombies, Tanks, Witches, ect. Also the Surivior bots will know where to move.

Well, it's not just Player Blocking, it's a number of things.

Like here, here is the first bit of the map where you start. I want Zombies to be able to spawn and run down from the woods. But I *don't* want players getting in there.
So I put this mesh over it:






But as you can see, it's also the end of the map is close by. So Zombies don't spawn and fall off. I put just a "clip" mesh up. Mean's it'll block EVERYTHING.





And here, this is the first bridge. I want Zombies to spawn/attack from the woods. but I don't want players to be able to get there. Also I don't want *anything* to get into
the swamp pool as you can see in this one:

Also another thing it's used for. You know little things like Cars, Drums, Wood, all little silly bits NPCs and players can get stuck on? It's also used for this, kinda like an inivs wall:

ah cool, and the wireframes....that is why i never use the authoring tools for more than a min at a time! XD also i always manage to get lost, especially in the rendered view.
